Description: A rich, golden colored mixture of Tocai Friulano, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla grapes with pleasant aromas and flavors of apricot, peach, melon and a hint of almond—a wine for every occasion.

EGO
Region: Venezia Giulia IGT, Farra d’Isonzo (GO), Fruili, Italy
Description: Ego is the wine that represents the Bressan identity and the experience of more than ten generation of Bressan wine masters. It is made from Cabernet Franc and Ribolla Nera (schioppettino) grapes trained to have a low production (less than two pounds per vine). The grapes are hand picked almost as a late harvest. The winemaking is separate for the two varieties with a month long maceration period and here the second fermentation is done in oak. Then the cuvée (blend of the two wines) is assembled and the wine rests for 3 years in casks and for 15 months in the bottle for refining. This wine has a complex perfume of berries it has a peppery bouquet gradually evolving in toasted oak (what the French call “Goudron”), truffles and aromatic wood. It is a long lasting wine.
